On February 13 and 14, 2025, the Psima Association and the members of the research team of the Contexto Programme, led by Professor Marisol Lila, had the opportunity to organize the First Working Conference for Professionals in the Intervention with IPV perpetrators. This event was held in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions and the University of Valencia.
The aim of this meeting was to present the project granted to the Psima Association by the General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions on November 15, 2024. To this end, we had the participation of prominent figures from the academic and institutional fields, including Dr. Antonio Ferrer (Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy at the University of Valencia), Miguel Ángel Vicente Cuenca (Director General of Penal Execution and Social Reintegration), Dr. Marisol Lila (Professor of Social Psychology and project leader), and Dr. Elena Terreros (representative of the Psima Association).
More than 60 psychology professionals from the Sentence Management and Alternative Measures Service (SGPMA) of various autonomous communities in Spain attended the meeting. During the sessions, activities were carried out to encourage the exchange of experiences and strengthen support networks among the participants. The event took place in a dynamic and interactive environment, highlighting the work of these professionals and providing them with a space for recognition, dialogue, and well-being.
